Sky Ice Beauty as the Ice Easter Bunny

Samantha was in an ice skating squad. She attended religiously every week, without fail. Easter was coming up, so Sam decided to play easter bunny. She arrived at the rink early, armed with a container filled to the brim with eggs. Before every one arrived, she warmed herself up. When she heard the other squad members beginning to arrive, she quickly went off and hid. She appeared moments later when everyone was on the rink, warming up, she glided around, dropping eggs on the side bar in front of them. When she was done, Sam twirled around. Everyone looked around at her. "Thanks Sam!" They all said at once. Sam gave a curtsy, looking low. Later on, as Sam was finishing up in the middle of the rink, she heard someone else start on the ice. She looked on the ice to see her boyfriend, Ben, gliding closer to her. She watrched as he circled her. The girls on the squad were still stretching. They turned to look at Ben and Sam. They were all jealous of Sam. Ben was pretty good looking. He popped an unwrapped egg in Sam's mouth and kissed her tenderly as she closed it. "Happy easter my Sky Ice Beauty." He whispered. The girls all stared at the happy couple as they skated off the rink, hand in hand. Sam took a quick glance back to see the girls all staring at Ben, their mouths agape and just about drooling. Sam stared at them cold and hard. 'He's mine.' She mouthed firmly, and looked back forward. Ben tightened his grip around her waist. Ben held Sam's hand as she twirled off the rink. Not only did Sam have the man all the girls in her squad wanted, but the man. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Happy easter all

Protest for Hair

Cassidy's hair was getting longer than her shoulders. Her mother believed in short hair. Cassidy didn't. "I think it's time you got a hair cut Cass." Her mother said one day. "No!" Cassidy screamed. "Why ever not Cassidy?" Cassidy's mother, Shirley was stunned. This was the first time her daughter had objected to anything. She must feel pretty strongly about if she objected. After all, Cassidy was ussually scared stiff of her mother.

"Because." Cassidy said simply. "I like my hair long." "Cassidy. Will you ever let someone cut it?" Shirley asked, baffled by her daughter's words. It felt as if she were losing control of her daughter. "Yes. When I feel it is growing too long." Cassidy answered. "After all Mother. It is my hair. I'm the one who has to live with it. Not you." She pointed out. "Yes Cassidy. But you're under 18. Legally, I can say what goes and what stays with you." Shirley argued. "And I say the hair goes." "Well legally, Mother I could easily move out of home." Cassidy retorted. "Cassidy. You wouldn't!" Shirley gasped. "Watch me." Cassidy said, heading off to her room and packed a huge suitcase full of things she wanted to take.

Shirley watched in horror as Cassidy walked out the front door, pulling a suitcase behind her, a duffle bag swung over her shoulder. Shirley ran to Cassidy's room. Many things were gone. At least 5 pairs of shoes, about 20 outfits, a sleeping bag and pillow. Cassidy had even gone as far as to ssteal her mother's credit card. Cassidy knew the pin number. She could easily use it. Shirley could have cancelled it. But she didn't. She didn't have the heart to. Her daughter was basically homeless now. Shirley figured the least she could do was put $30 on a week, allowing her daughter some money to live on.

Since that day, Cassidy has been living out on the streets. All due to a protest about keeping her long hair.

Beautiful as a Butterfly

I used to be huge. I'm not afraid of saying it, because at the time, it was the truth. The complete honest truth. When I was 19, I started getting overweight. At the young age of 23, I decided it was time to change. Time to win my life back. Time to regain my life for good. So, I applied for the biggest loser, and got in. This is my story: The first day was really hard. I learnt my weight to be a huge, disgusting 180 kilos. I was put on Shannon Ponton's team. Blue. I was happy with that. Blue was my favourite colour. It always had been. The first week, I lost 5.9 kilos, making my new weight 174.1 kilos. Next week was 6.7, then 8.3, 7.4 and finally 5.8. But unfortunately, that was my last in my 5 weeks of huge numbers. After that, I was down to 145.9 kilos. The next week, having lost only 1.8 kilos, I was sent home. By finale, I had lost 72.4, making my weight now 107.6. I still had a while to go, but based on how far, it seemed worth it. My goal weight is 73 kilos, meaning I've still got to lose about 34.6 kilos. Though I've still got weight to loose, I feel I am emerging from the cocoon in which I've been hiding for so long. I am now a beautiful butterfly, flying out to explore this new world given to me all through a fresh start.
