Lindsay: A Day at The Beach

Lindsay Phillips was described by her friends as being 'the luckiest woman in the world'. She had a great home life with a wonderful family, great friends and a fantastic job at the local Seaweed and Sand Homewares store.

On this particular Saturday afternoon, Lindsay and her family had gone to the beach for an afternoon. Lindsay was relaxing in her banana chair, watching her family. Her husband, Ross was swimming in the ocean, her son Heath was out with Ross, her daughter Ellie was playing in the waters shallows and her youngest daughter, Genevive was close to Lindsay, making a huge soundcastle and decorating it with the shells she'd collected. All was calm and peaceful, until Lindsay spotted something in the water.

Lindsay got up and walked down toward where Ellie was playing annd peered out for a closer look. "Ross!" Lindsay called urgently. But it was too late. It all happened in a flash. Heath was swept out to sea, toward what Lindsay discovered was a fin. Lindsay clasped her hands over her mouth and watched in horror as Heath was sweopt closer and closer to the fin. Then, the head of the creature popped up and out of the water, revealing itself to be a dolphin. "Heath!" Lindsay heard Ross call. "Grab on to it's fin, it'll swim you back to shore!" So Heath grabbed the dolphin's fin, and sure enough, it swam him back to safety. Lindsay sighed with relief.

Ross sudenly noticed Lindsay, peering out at them from the water's edge. He gave her a thumbs up and yelled. "It's all good Lindsay. Heath's here. Safe and sound!" Lindsay could only nod. She was still in shock, still trying to process all that had just happened. It had happened so fast. Too fast for anything to make sense.
